Get Them on the Hill
Keep the little tykes active by getting them out on the slopes. Kids (6 years old & under) ride the lifts for free, so you don't have to break the bank to keep them busy. Whether they are first-timers or already practicing their jibbing skills, Aspen/Snowmass Ski & Snowboard Schools offer private and group lessons with some the best instructors in the country. Take it from us, getting the little ones skiing or boarding at a young age will give them with a lifelong passion for the mountains.

Child's Play
Aspen/Snowmass unveiled the $17-million, first-of-its-kind Tree House Kids' Adventure Center in Snowmass Base Village. Kids of all ages can have fun in the family-friendly climbing gym, and with the Ski & Snowboard Schools check-in, rental, and retail all under one roof, you can get your kid out and about with one stop. The Treehouse will also be home to day care and the Ski & Snowboard School's preschool programs in their unique interactive themed rooms for children ages (8 weeks to 4 years). Evening activities will also be held at the Treehouse (Movie nights and Dances (ages 5 to 12).

Inside Activities
Adventurous small ones (ages 4 & up) can learn the basics of bouldering and top-roping on the Aspen Recreation Center's 3,200 sq. ft. climbing wall. The Aspen Recreation Center also boasts a pool with a two-story slide and a lazy river, perfect for kids looking to cool off and have fun. If you're seeking a more peaceful activity, Aspen/Pitkin County Library offers several story-time hours sure to keep your young ones entertained while they learn. Toddlers can listen to classics like “Goodnight Moon”, Tuesday's at the 10:15am story time. A second story time is offered for preschoolers at 11am.
